After four years of studies usually one is obtaining a bacherol degree. Shorter
two years courses typically lead to associated degree.

After two years in community college you can obtain an Associate degree in
Engineering Technology.

Four year Engineering degree is called Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
There is always a specialty attached to “engineering degree. For example.
Electrical, mechanical, civil.==>> Bachelor os Science in Civil Engineering.

After 4 years of university you get Bachelor of
Engineering (B Eng) or Bachelor of Science (B Sc). You
can also complete college diploma - 2 years for
Technician and 3 for Technologist. To be a Proffesional
Engineer (P Eng)you have to have 4 years of experience
and pass etics and proffesional practice exams from a
relevant proffesional organization. Requiremnts for
Technician and Technologist are less restrictive - and
exam after 2 years of practice.

My experience is limited to Canada - in States it is a
bit different.
