Salvador Dali was a Spanish artist, most well known for his surrealist work, most notably The Persistence of Memory. I have been a fan of Dali for a long time, pretty much ever since I first saw his work at a young age which was probably back in school. It is some of the best surrealist work that I have ever seen and I am amazed by his imagination and creativity. I really like work that you can just look at and think. There’s so much detail and it’s so surreal that it makes you ponder and try and draw your own conclusions as to what he was thinking or what it is supposed to represent, if anything. He is clearly very talented and I think that it is good that his work is well known outside of the art world as he deserves the recognition that his work receives. My favourite piece is probably The Persistence of Memory because it was the first piece that I ever saw and it plays in to my theories and thoughts on time. If you know my blog well then you will already be aware of my thoughts on that subject.
