Hi :)
Do you know any nice Internet site where you can read Polish (and
world) news in English? I mean, something like our onet.pl or
gazeta.pl but in English. I tried poland.pl but the news is not up-
to-date :/
Thanks in advance :)

Czytam sobie teksty na stronie www.reuters.com i co jakiś czas natrafiam na
dziwne zdania. I nie wiem, czy to w nich są błędy, czy to ja czegoś nie
rozumiem. Może ktoś rozstrzygnie moje wątpliwości. Oto dwa przykłady:
Google said on Wednesday that its shares priced at $85, the bottom end of an
lowered pricing range, after the initial public offering was hit by a string
of missteps and lackluster market conditions.

A Nice Summery Surprise
I remember it as today. It was summer and I was eleven years old. I was
boring deadly… All my friends went away somewhere: over sea, in mountains or
to grandparents, but I must stayed at home. On addition, I didn’t have sister
or brother and both my mother and father were working in spite of holida...

My heart goes out to those that live in London and all the families whose
close ones are dead or fighting for their lives in the hospital! It was a
long time coming for the British people and we all knew it. It really was a
matter of time. I wonder when will all this end ? Anyone out there that lives
in London and can give us some direct feedback as to what it's like out there
right now...Alkida? Is that what people think?
All you folks out there, take care and may God bless you!!!

First of all, I want to say I hope I offend no one by this post. My goal
here is to perhaps help even one person of my new favorite country, Poland,
understand how other American (certainly not me) were fooled into voting for
Bush the second time. It's a trick that has been used for centuries. Fear.
You may or may not know that Bush had and still has a policitcal guru in his
camp named Karl Rove. Well, the good news is America is just about figuring
out how bad the lies and...

In couple of weeks I'm returning to Poland. It happened that I temporary stay
in Virginia. The current, predominat reports (e.g. FOX NEWS) are connected
with the sniper (SHOOTING SPREE)who acts in this area too. I'm astonished
that Americans inform in detail public opinion on way of taking steps to
seize him. By means of television the sniper knows everything about police
plans and he efficaciously eludes them. In Poland such method would be
inadmissible.

Consistent in fulfilling my 'dorky anorak' role, I suggest these two

I have been relatively television free for some time already. That is I have
quit my cable over a year ago and since then I have had only one channel i. e.
TVP1 and if I strugle with a wire I get TVP3 but it has to be a no rainy day.
Anyway I have been watching TV news also over the Internet and enjoing an
option of fast forward ( those Vatican stories about Pope uttering another
set of sentences in polish) and repeat option ( great score by Frankowski )
Also having a smaller news scre...
