Do you like watching television?

I have been relatively television free for some time already. That is I have
quit my cable over a year ago and since then I have had only one channel i. e.
TVP1 and if I strugle with a wire I get TVP3 but it has to be a no rainy day.
Anyway I have been watching TV news also over the Internet and enjoing an
option of fast forward ( those Vatican stories about Pope uttering another
set of sentences in polish) and repeat option ( great score by Frankowski )
Also having a smaller news screen in computer makes news talking heads less
intimidating or at least I feel like I am having some controll over them.
Do you watch television? What do you watch on tele? What are your favourite
english programmes?
When I had cable I would watch David Letterman, Monty, Office, Are you being
served and news channels like CNN and BBC. I remember I have enjoyed -
especially during the Iraq war - Euronews in english but then they changed it
into german edition.

I watch it sometimes when I’m bored and there is nothing else to do, but I’m
not a fan. Though I have to admit that some time ago I was almost addicted to
Man Hunt on Bravo. The show sucked, still one of those guys was amazing and I
couldn’t resist watching that crap only because of him ;-) BTW he won!

I took "english programMEs" literally, and here's what I used to watch (before
I, too, gave up cable:)
-AbFab
-French&Saunders
(and, way back, BBC World Service -for eurocontent- before they turned into a
brit CNN)

These days I end up renting lots of HBO stuff.

Exhibit A
Biography channel and whatever's on it
food channel with whatever's on that one ( Martha Stewart, Rachel
Ray, "Unwrapped", Top 5, etc)
decorating channel with "House and home", Trading spaces, Chris Hyneman and
Steve Sabados,etc
all in all, I enjoy educational stuff in the area of interior decorating,
cooking and good investigative television. :)

well, YOU're talkin' prograMs here:)
in that case:
-Lehrer and lots of PBS
-was Charlie Rose on PBS, too? I'm sure he was...
-SNL (I'm hearing it's not that good any more:(
-baba wawa... someone's once said: "Hard to believe, but Barbara Walters used to
be a legit journalist once...:)

-I don't even get NPR in Montreal, for christ's sake!!!

That's right, PBS! It's great,isn't it?... and no commercials, thank God! There
is another Public TV - KVOST...same idea. Good stuff, many great speakers,
really good shows. Too much to remember. I pick and choose and I don't watch
much TV but I am very picky as to what I want to see. All the rest is trash...I
can't stand reality shows. I'd rather go for a nice walk or drive. :):)
