Hi, I would like to improve my understanding of spoken english (especialy tv
news, market,economy news). Where can I find materials (?) which would help
me. What I mean is some recodings of tv news or sth. like that together with
text, which is being said. Ideally in some computer fomat (avi,mpg).

The best thing to do is watching tv news, such as CNN. If you have a satelite
dish you might have an access to english channels. and don't get discouraged if
you can't understand everything at first. it took me about 4 months of watching
english speaking channels before i was able to understand everything clearly

if you have a fast enough modem, you can actually find english-spoken programs
on the web. most pages like cnn, bbc, abc, cbs, and so on have their audio
available if you have real player or quick time. if you don't, you can download
them for free from the web.
