      "Following the launch of Promesse in September 2005, Parfums Cacharel (L’Oréal)
      is returning to the more daring codes of its Amor Amor scent with its latest
      women’s fragrance, Liberté. “It is a new tone and new territory,” Cacharel
      international general manager Marie-Paule Thauziès tells CosmeticNews.

      Liberté is designed to fill the gap between the brand’s two pillars: Amor Amor,
      a scent targeting teens and Anaïs Anaïs, whose core consumer is 40 years and
      older. “Liberté targets the 25- to 35-year old. There was a real desire to go
      further and to be more impertinent,” Parfums Cacharel international marketing
      director Sandrine Jolly tells CosmeticNews. Although Europe is expected to be
      the fragrance’s primary market—with the goal of reaching the top-10 in France—
      the brand also has high hopes for the US, where there will be significant
      support. “Liberté will probably launch in a more selective distribution [than
      Cacharel’s usual 2,500 points-of-sales in the US],” says Jolly.
      The launch is being supported by at least as much investment, if not more, than
      Amor Amor, according to Jolly.
      Formulated by Domitille Bertier and Olivier Polge of IFF, Liberté introduces an
      unusual olfactory family, orange chypre. The fragrance comes in a tall slender
      orange bottle cut in the shape of a flower. Press and television campaigns by
      Mert & Marcus feature Brazilian model Giselle Bundeschen.

      Liberté launches globally from April, except in the US where it will go on sale
      in the second half of 2007.
      The women’s EdT is priced from €33 (30ml) to €62 (75ml)."
