DO BOLD MEN GET DANDRUFF?

IP: *.in-addr.btopenworld.com 11.10.02, 16:00
Just had a liquid lunch with friends where the question was subject of in-
depth scrutiny. However no consensus was arrived at. Any thoughts chaps?

I did mean BALD rather then brave. Sorry - I blame the beverage content of the
      mentioned feast.

Touchy, touchy. Never mind. Will continue living in ignorance .. with full head
          of hair.

Is that angry voice of experience speaking? Cool down, it was only a
lighthearted question conceived under the influence of vintage port. Head &
Shoulders is just fine but usually comes into use after the horse has bolted,
              ie dandruff took over.

Shall I mention a few well-known ,tasty hairless characters?

*Now where do nasty flakes come into this equation?

Absolutely- bald can be beautiful if accompanied by attractive head shape,
finely chiselled facial features, large eyes and good smile. All the
requirements incidentaly apply to hairy types considered sexy, so no splitting
                  hairs there.
The original question however remains unanswered - is the presence of hair a
prerequisite for the skin to flake or not? Anyone with dandruff on their feet,
                  palms or knees?

      Ha Ha Ha.
That was a deep one. ContrAversial, too.
I was going to post something of substance, but this case is hopeless.

Obviuosly substance weighed you down, (no surprise here), and you found
yourself out of depth. So what's new? Have to try harder and ... keep your hair
        on.

Your drunk subconsciousness (can subconscious be drunk?) was a better guide
to entertainment: should've left it in its original (mistaken) form! Still, we
appreciate your trimming it to our level - shows a lot of consideration. Thanks
(virtual) on behalf of our cyber commubity.

Not surprisingly, the silliest threads receive the widest feedback.
Nat, did you join what you couldn't fight?
          • Gość: nat Re: DO BOLD MEN GET DANDRUFF? IP: *.in-addr.btopenworld.com 14.10.02, 00:16
And why would I wish to fight it? Silly it well may be but even you graced the
thread with your visit, more than once, may I add. And still no answer! Could
it really be one of those sixty four million dollar questions that humanity
hasn't cracked yet. Come on guys, what are you hiding?

It's no grace. I do visit lots of threads here. I like taking part in forums
every now and then and don't find despising participants or their opinions a
              good form of contribution.

This is clearly a question at the cutting edge of forum chat. Nat is right to
give this the airing it deserves. I can't say either way, but I did know a guy
who had druffy ears.. or maybe that was dried wax. Actually, while we're on
hair, why do men get those disturbing nasal 'tusks', while women's nasal hair
        is under control?

              • i.p.freely Re: hair a must 14.10.02, 20:12
Dandruff is a skin condition and not a hair ailment.
                Ever heard of SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS?
                • Gość: sisi Re: hair a must IP: *.bydgoszcz.cvx.ppp.tpnet.pl 14.10.02, 23:19
At last someone voiced it, although perhaps the question wasn't meant to be
answered. Yes, seborrhoea (admittedly had to look this word up) is the cause of
dandruff, not any hair condition. So, it does not matter whether the flaked
head & shoulders are shaven or hirsute ;-))
                  • Gość: nat Re: hair a must IP: *.in-addr.btopenworld.com 15.10.02, 00:03
OK, it makes sense. Have also been told that it's something to do with oil
producing glands. But why, although we shed dead skin all over our bodies,
dandruff as we know it adorns the scalp? Unless guys with mega hairy
chests/backs/etc (yak!) can tell us otherwise???? Please shed some light on
this burning issue and let the thread die the natural death of mystery solved.
