"entry level"?

IP: *.pgnig.pl 22.10.02, 08:23
Looking for a job I found a phrase "entry level" (after the name of the job
position).
Is there anybody who knows what does it mean?

minimum pay, everybody expects you to work for them

        Not exactly so.

Entry level means your first job, which is usually lowest at your skills level. But
not necessarily low pay and not necessarily working for everyone else.

For example, if you have just finished school, you are looking for an entry-level
position. Many companies do offer entry-level jobs for various reasons (including
        the low payroll expenditures).

It is perhaps something similar to the old-fashioned apprentice. But not exactly this, either.

Krecha is right. Entry level means that you are standing next to corporate
ladder, about to raise your foot to the lowest step.
