Polish Government SUCKS !!!

Polish government is forcing their passports and unwanted polish citizenships
on citizens of other countries. They also make it very difficult, costly and
time consuming to renounce polish citizenship. Civilized countries do not
cause this type of hardship on their citizens. I think polish government
needs to join the civilized world and change their passport and citizenship
policies. The place to start would be to make it easier to get rid of this
unwanted polish citizenship status.

But of course it sucks! However, the problem you are talking about is a minor one and not worth discussing.

awalk, it may seem minor to you because it doesn't affect you. To me it is a
major problem because my mother needs me to help her in poland and polish
government makes it very difficult and risky for me to go there and help her

So you are afraid that they will force you to join the Polish Army. To cut the story short they don't have the money to execute the law and they are not interested. There are hundreds of such laws and bylaws in Poland. I think our Parliment is trying to set the world record. But nobody cares and it is impossible to abide them all. If your Polish passport is ok nobody asks you about anything. If you are still paranoid and suspicious come to Czech republic first and then cross the border walking with local people in Cieszyn. Just walk, believe me nobody checks the walkers. There are hundreds of them. Then you can leave the same way. But I don't think it is necessary to do that. They just don't have information on the border about your status anyway. So just cross the border using the Polish passport and everything is going to be ok. Remember that we have the highest unemployment in Europe. And it is so severe that many young people would gladly join the Polish Army just to do anything but they don't need them. The worst thing you can do is trying to cross the border using your foreign pasport. Don't do it, don't draw their attention and you won't get into trouble. They check foreigners they are not interested in common Polish people.

But I don't want polish passport and all the legal implications connected with
it. (PESEL number, polish citizenship ect...) I am a US citizen and do not
want to have anything to do with polish authorities. I just don't trust them.
I do not want any type of my personal information being kept by polish
officials. I'd like to renounce my polish citizenship, but polish government
makes it to difficult. Civilized countries ie: USA, Germany and others have a
simple process to do that, but poland wants to force people to remain
citizens. I think it is unfair and it is against international law.

i agree with you,
my sister has the same problem...she was born in canada but our mother is
polish..and the polish foreign policy makes it very hard for her to come to
poland for vacations...i mean do have a polish passport...the said that it is
not even sure if she is going to get it...
thats kind of strange... :-/

z tym, ze wypierasz sie swojej matki i ojca. Nigdy nie odetniesz sie od

Obywatelstwo to jest nie to samo co narodowosc. Obywatelstwo to jest sytuacja
prawna w ktorej rzad kraju moze zmuszac swojego obywatela do pewnych rzeczy.
Narodowosci nie mozna zmienic bo to jest biologiczny/ genetyczny status
czlowieka. Polski rzad chce zmuszac polonie (zachodnia) do obywatelstwa
polskiego. Polski rzad obchodzi sie calkiem odwrotnie z Polonia z krajow
wschodnich (Kazachstan, Ukraina itd...) We wschodnich krajach jest duzo ludzi
ktorzy chcieliby polskie obywatelstwo ale polski rzad im nie pozwala. Ja mysle
ze oni po prostu po chamsku traktuja ludzi. Zaden zcywilizowany kraj tak ludzi
nie traktuje. Tylko polska!!!

Why a person who was born in Poland during a trip of his parents as diplomats
