I never heard of “licenciate” but bachelor’s degree is a basic college degree
you usually get after four years of college. After that you are a graduate
student working on your masters which is an equivalent of polish “magister”

Hi Johny,
when I contacted NARIC here in London to find out what is the equivalent of my
degree here,they didn't translate 'licencjat' as-bachelor's degree.They were
using the Polish name as there isn't any name for it in English. I wouldn't
translate it then ,also 'licenciate' does sound a bit weird.

You get bachelor's degree only when you graduate from college or
university. "Studia zawodowe" give you a diploma. With diploma you get diff.
levels eg. diploma in mechanics, level 1 or 2 or 3. That's how it is in
Canada (most places anyway). In England, US, and Australia it's probably
different.
