Is there any English equivalent of Polish word "prognozowanie"?
I've found a word derived from "prognosis", i.e. "prognostication" but it
seems to have a different meaning, i.e. "przepowiadanie".

May be Anglo-Saxons don't prognozować. :)

as verb:
forecast, predict, estimate, calculate, project, anticipate
as noun
prediction, estimate, guess, calculation, conjecture
