Obvious? Are you sure they're obvious?

IP: *.neoplus.adsl.tpnet.pl 01.08.03, 15:34
Hello,

I have a few examples for you. What do these simple words or phrases mean, in
the given environment:

- Never: 'he never came'

- gay: 'man, it's totally gay!'

- get the...: 'get the f*** out of here!'

- no way!: 'You mean he really did? Dude, no way!'

- rather than: 'I'll have a pint of Guinness rather than Kilkenny'.

Good luck :).

      What's the challenge? :)

      For example:

      > - get the...: 'get the f*** out of here!'

F*** stands for FRIDGE, which is a long word with
      difficult ortography, thus often abbreviated.

So, GET THE FRIDGE OUT OF HERE means that the addressee
of this dramatic call is requested to move the above
mentioned household appliance to another location,
preferably far away. Moving hardware is popular among
particular social groups. Mark Knopfler has a song on it
("Money for nothing") - he sings there "We've got to move
this refridgerator". Please pay attention to the word
REFRIDGERATOR that he used - it proves that Mark is a
bold person, being not afraid of using difficult
vocabulary from various fields (he also mentions
microwave ovens and TV). To recap, he should be a paragon
      for us all.

I think El Presidente has already given you the answer to your question - only
he did it in a rather subtle way. Can you decipher what he said?

          ...and it reads:

'the subject should have been titled <can you please translate...> then
replying would have been fun; and now...'

But this still remains just an evasion technique...
