i saw some ERA GSM ad at the Airport in Warsaw on Saturday. Group of ppl
standing and holding pieces of paper in hands. Now i only remember what was
written on one of them but other where similar:
Alice enjoy internet.
I must admit, it confused me. I have been learning Engnlish since i remember
and still make mistakes. But have never seen such HUGE mistake on ad. And at
the airport, place where you can find lots of foregin ppl :)
Im curious, if there is smthg i dont know about english gramma or they just
forgot to check the ad before printing :)

It is because in ERA GSM the money goes to their chairmen pockets and they begrudge paying 50 zl for a translator or a proofreader. Nothing surprising. On the other hand 'Alice enjoy internet' might mean Alicjo delektuj sie internetem. I would add the exclamation mark though.

In that case it should be: Alice, enjoy the Internet!

When I was in Gdańsk a few years ago I saw a neon light showing "Fly by LOT".
It was just in front of the main train station. Also Kora was singing ...fly by
LOT... I think it should be "Fly LOT"

hehe "Fly by" has yet another meaning. I don't think Lot would like to be
        considered a fly by operation:-)

No: fly WITH LOT! Just as "Fly with American Airlines".

Fly a lot, but not with LOT.

if you want to fly LOT, you have to pay a lot.
and please don't use american airlines in the same sentance with LOT.
There is a cardinal difference for those of us who fly.
