Moje Drogie,
temat Konstytuacji Europejskiej. Jednak pomimo tego napisalam list do
Ambasady Holenderskiej, ktorego tresc zalaczam ponizej. Jesli ktos chce go
takze przeslac, lub jakos przerobic pod siebie prosze bardzo.
Pozdrawiam

To : Dutch Ambassador in Warsaw
Regarding: Negative presentation of Poland in Dutch media and lack of
sufficient
Dear Mr. Ambassador,
I am writing this letter in regard to the latest “incident” at the Polish-
German border and the massive misinformation which took place in the main
news media in Your Country. I am outrage by the way Poland and so called
incident was presented.
First argument is that it is beyond my understanding that the parents, the
organizers, the teacher and the caretaker during the excursion to Poland did
not check the information concerning Polish entrance law! How can anyone
start a trip without valid documents? It is especially intriguing because
full information is available at Polish Embassy website.
Second argument is that the person who place the complaint was not able to
notice that not only Polish but also German authorities were unsatisfied with
insufficient documents for children from countries which are not members of
European Union and as it was discovered one of the children was illegally
staying in European Union.
Third argument is that despite lack of knowledge of Polish the person was
able to understand the meaning and was so sure of it that he or she found it
strong enough to place the complaint! It is perfect example of lack of
understanding of differences in terms of language and body language between
cultures and it is especially dangerous and scary as this person is setting
example as a teacher for younger generation.
Up to now to me Holland was a country of reasonable and thinking people,
people who follow the law and are not blowing situations out of proportions,
people who can notice their own mistakes and learn from them. I was mistaken
and now I have to adjust my opinion about Your Country due to this negative
knowledge. In result of this situation my picture of your culture gained some
negative accents and is not so pretty as your tulips any more.
In result of this so called “incident” the name of my country was used in
very negative way which is unacceptable for me so I would expect that the
Dutch authorities will take some action
- to diminish negative repercussions in perception of Poland in Holland
and
- to prevent similar situation when your citizens and residents try to
enter Poland without valid passport or visa.
With respect,
P.S. Mam nadzieje, ze zbyt wielu bledow nie zrobilam....
