      W skrocie:
      - filmy w Bryant Park (i inne imprezy)
      - filmy nad rzeka Hudson
      - imprezy w central parku (summerstage, opera, filharmonia w parku, zreszta nie
      tylko w central parku)
      - 7.7 koncert Live Earth w New Jersey
      - River to River Festival

      Bryant Park:

      June 18th - Annie Hall (1977)
Woody Allen is a neurotic New York comic who mends his broken heart by
reminiscing about past relationships. Winning Oscars for Best Picture,
Best Director, Best Script, and Best Actress (Diane Keaton), this
classic comedy shows Allen at his peak.

June 25th - The Thing - From Another World (1951)
A frozen alien is discovered at the North Pole, and trouble starts
when it accidentally thaws out. A legendary monster movie based on a
story by John Campbell, the "father" of modern science fiction, and
      produced by Howard Hawks.

      July 2nd - Paper Moon (1973)
Peter Bogdanovich directs father-daughter team Ryan and Tatum O'Neal,
playing Depression-era grifters who scam recently widowed women and
hilariously seek out the big score. Shot in B&W, perfectly capturing
the striking scenery of the Great Plains.

      July 9th - Wait Until Dark (1967)
Audrey Hepburn stars as the blind heroine-in-distress terrorized by
thugs in her Greenwich Village apartment. 2007 Oscar winner Alan Arkin
is the ultra-menacing villain she is up against in the
      jump-out-of-your-skin scary climax.

July 16th - To Sir, With Love (1967)
Sidney Poitier is an unemployed engineer who becomes a teacher for a
class of toughs in London's East End, and unexpectedly, he bonds with
them as he teaches civility and respect. Features groovy British
      Invasion music and style.

      July 23rd - The Sting (1973)
Robert Redford, Paul Newman and director George Roy Hill generate
high-voltage chemistry in this light-hearted yet complex, overtly
nostalgic look at 1930's Chicago con men. A great commercial success,
it won seven Oscars including Best Picture.

      July 30th - All The King's Men (1949)
A self-made man learns that he'll do anything to get to the top.
Broderick Crawford won the Best Actor trophy for his larger than life
portrayal of a man ethically sidetracked on his way to the governor's
mansion. Also the Oscar-winner for Best Picture.

      August 6th - Bus Stop (1956)
Marilyn Monroe, in a spectacular turn, is a hardened bar room singer
who yearns for Hollywood but becomes the romantic focus of a naive
rodeo cowboy. With his mind set on marriage, he tries desperately to
      take her home to Montana.

      August 13th - Casablanca (1942)
This timeless masterpiece of film takes place at Rick's Cafe
Americaine, the gin joint where intrigue, romance, valor and
compassion collide at the edge of Europe during WWII. Humphrey Bogart
sticks his neck out for nobody, except beautiful Ingrid Bergman, the
love who left him years ago in Paris.

      August 20th - Psycho (1960)
Alfred Hitchcock directs Janet Leigh as an unfortunate lady-on-the-run
who checks into the remote Bates Motel. There she encounters the
creepy owner, played by Anthony Perkins in his career defining role,
      and meets a ghastly fate.

      www.villagevoice.com/siren

There's also a free concert series at Asser Levy Park in Coney Island
(last year I saw the B-52s in the rain) but the schedule hasn't been
announced yet. Here's their website: www.brooklynconcerts.com/

      McCarren Park Pool:

Last year the Pool Parties concert series brought a range of indie
artists to play free concerts in a formerly abandoned pool in Brooklyn
every Sunday for the entire summer. The series has returned for summer
2007. Mayor Bloomberg announced that the pool will be reconstructed so
it can serve its former purpose (people are going to be able to swim
in it again). I practically went every Sunday last summer and it was a
      blast (www.flickr.com/photos/eatsdirt/sets/72157594209909850/)

Full lineup hasn't been released but here are the bands announced so far:

      August 19th - Ghostland Observatory

      www.thepoolparties.com/

And if you wish to see movies instead, here's what you'll find on the
      following dates at the pool:

July 3 - Bring it On

July 10th - Dazed and Confused

      July 17th - Three Kings

July 31st - Night of the Hunter

August 7 - Ladies and Gentlemen the Fabulous Stains

August 14th - Bonnie and Clyde
