Western society generally considers that men look better as they get older, and
that women don't, so the rare exceptions of foxy half-century-old sweeties make
good adverts for cosmetics that they've probably never even used.
Nobody would say that Catherine Deneuve or any of these ladies is ugly, but are
they actually prettier than 20 years ago?
Have you seen pictures of George Clooney from 20 years ago? I'm not an expert,
but he wasn't a gorgeous hunk then. And Sean Connery is still regularly voted
Sex God Of The Universe at age 93.

Western society believes this, and although western society is often very
stupid I'd like to believe it too, for personal reasons.
And if being An Older Man is fashionable, then well, we'll just have to wait.
