Homophobia encouraged

13.03.07, 16:10
Thrusting homosexual stories down young children's throats is designed to
provoke society into making homophobic statements, thereby providing ample
justification for the original provocation. Inescapable logic, really. Read

LONDON (Reuters) - Children as young as four are being taught about same-sex
relationships through fairytales and storybooks with gay and lesbian
characters.

A pilot scheme to introduce children to gay issues is running in several
schools across England with stories such as "King and King", about a gay
prince, or "And Tango Makes Three", about gay penguins who fall in love and
raise an adopted child.

I guess, everybody worst fear is to become irrelevant, that's why some
minorities, sexual orientations are trying to become visible and relevant, they
repeat same old stuff about their gay rights, fight against suposed
discrimination, they praise their lifestyle and so on...Fine, but so what???

Do they need this type of affirmation to make themelves feel relevant?

People can't be relevant in this world by who/what they are, but by what they
        do.

This is exacltly the point, minorities who strive for affirmation of their
lifestiles by the mainstream society are destined to waste their time in vain.
I don't mind gay people, I dont mind many other minorities, which doesn't mean
that I have to pick up their cause to be considered good person.

While homosexualism has been once and for all recognized as a NOT illness, why
then are homo-people still attacked and discriminated against?

They fight for their rights? Surely, they do. No wonder.
If they were treated as the rest of society, there wouldn't be any need to
      fight for it.

Some gay activists fight for the right to stir up homophobia. Now that is
        perverse.

It's a bit like that Dafydd character in Little Britain.

Oh yeah, the programme that led to an increase in homophobic attacks. A very
progressive idea to have an ever-so-comic gay to give people cheap laughs.

        Plain common sense, isn't it?

But that doesn't mean that every tactic used by interest groups is correct or
          even helpful.
I personally don't mind gay pride marches in London (I went to one for fun!),
but I thought the attempted gay pride march in Warsaw was ill-conceived and
          unhelpful for their cause.

That's it. To each his own.
