Bill Kristol said this morning on Fox that regardless of whether or not many
conservatives agree with Bush’s policies, his administration is too incompetent
in the execution of government to carry them out.

Kristol also admitted that he noticed the sun comes up almost every day.

"I think it’s become in people’s minds an emblem of the administration that
just isn’t as serious about the competent execution of the functions of
government as it should be. And even — I’m struck talking to conservatives and
Republicans — they agree with the president on basic political philosophy, the
they agree with his basic policy agenda, but they are worried that they just
don’t seem to be able to execute as well as they should be."

It took Kristol six months after Katrina and nearly three years of a botched
occupation of Iraq to notice this, not to mention the fiasco that is the
Medicare Part D program. I guess little Billy wasn’t paying attention when John
Dilulio correctly diagnosed this over three years ago with the “Mayberry
      Machiavellis” line.

Never let it be said that little Billy is the sharpest tool in Ma Kristol's
      shed.

I have a suspition you twisted his words and disconnected them from the context.

            you're welcome
        • iamhotep Re: I can't take it at a face value 05.03.06, 21:49
So it looks like it's getting increasingly difficult for Bush followers like
yourelf to shift the blame for disastrous war project onto "liberals" when so
many conservatives (Kristl, Will, Buckley, Bennett) are declaring the whole
thing to be a smashing defeat? Obviously, that won’t stop you from trying –
facts never do – but these defections and heresies will make doing so much more
          difficult.

          P.S.
Oh, no here goes another conservative, National Review’s John Derbyshire in his
          post;
"Well, I'm with Bill Buckley and George Will. This pig's ear is never going to
be made into a silk purse, not by any methods or expenditures the American
people are willing to countenance. The only questions worth asking about Iraq
at this point are: How does GWB get out of this with the least damage to US
interests, and to his party's future prospects? I wish I had some answers."

            You've gotta be kidding.
It is you who politicize everything day in day out.
Your guys voted for the war only to abandon the ship
when the deck got a little to hot from Dean's rants.
facts never do? Get real. They never do for you.
By the way I don't follow Bush and I don't write
            flowery pieces about the war.
            • iamhotep Re: I can't take it at a face value 06.03.06, 19:40
No, felusiak, it isn't me that does the politicizing. I simply can't for, in
case you hadn't heard, my side DOES NOT RUN ANYTHING ANYMORE.
Strategic and relentless poisoning of the public well (pliticizing) is done by
Republican Ruch Limbaugh, Republican Karl Rove, Republican Ann Coulter,
Republican Michelle Malkin, The list goes on.

What's with this - "Your guys voted for the war only to abandon the ship
when the deck got a little to hot from Dean's rants" - bilge?

From what I remeber Dean and about half of the American people, begged and
pleaded and screamed for your side NOT TO INVADE IRAQ, or if we were stuck
trusting the good intentions of bad people, at least for extreme caution and
sober judgement to be exercised when taking the nation to war, including a rock-
solid cause and exit plan. And what happened? Your Republican party went ahead
and UNLEASHED A DISASTER BORN OF LIES. They made matters worse, not better,
they continue to piss away our nation's blood and treasure reclessly - to the
tune of how many trillions now?

                Sober up.
It was Dean running ahead of the pack during primaries on anti war rant.
That forced Kerry to flip the script.
These are your guys who voted for the war, 29 of them:
                Baucus (D-MT)
