Po mjemu to opisyjesz stany i czynności wielokrotne, wię użyłbym w obydwu
członach Past Simple (może ozznaczać formy niedokonane!). Użycie Past Continous
sugeruje czynność.Wyrzuciłbym "to". Więc When I worked there I advised our
customers.Ale nie muszę mieć racji.

'cos it's the last sentence that makes most sense to me, i.e.:

When I was working there I was advising...

why?

think of:

While working there I ...

the only sensible ending - to me - would be:

"[...] I was advising..."

you can advise customers to do something specific, but otherwise drop the 'to'
and they're all correct.
