      BBC swego czasu w ogóle miało fajny moduł do nauki języka, nie wiem czy nadal to funkcjonuje ale kiedyś było to bardzo fajne, na różnych poziomach i tematycznie, można było słuchając tego nauczyć się różnych ciekawych rzeczy o świecie. Chociaż momentami był wg mnie troche przegadany jeśli chodzi o tłumaczenie pewnych rzeczy po polsku i wręcz 'zbyt łopatologiczny' ale ogólnie na +

        Odkrylam tam kiedys wyraz floordrobe co nareszcie pomoglo mi docenic podejscie syna do systemu przechowywania ubran ;)

      Most of these aren't actually Americanisms, just neologisms and British regional or non-standard forms which some folk assume are Yank expressions because they sound unfamiliar. "Wait on" is the correct form in Scottish Standard English (is it even used in the US?), for example, "that'll learn you" is archaic in Standard English but still used in many dialects (cf. the book "Larn Yersel' Geordie"), and the folk moaning about American words like "burglarize" and "normalcy" being used in America by Americans are clearly just stupid.

        Haha floordrobe - dobre slowko :) Ogolnie w wielu językach są słowa, których my nie mamy (i viceversa), ciekawe czy to, że w języku angielskim to słowo występuje świadczy w pewien sposób o ich kulturze i społeczeństwie ;D
