wysłałem do anglii paczke, która wróciła do mnie z adnotacją "not called for"
czy to znaczy, ze nie została odebrana? czy coś innego?

Mysle ze chodzi o to, ze adresat nie zgłosił się po odbiór.

It sounds British to me. I think it means "not ordered". Most likely someone
thought it came from a mail order company. These guys are very annoying with
sending stuff you never ask for. :)

to raczej nie to. wysyłałem papierochy dla znajomego, sam o nie prosił, więc
chyba by odebrał paczke gdyby o niej wiedział, może listonosz posiał awizo...

tez mi sie wydaje, ze to znaczy, ze adresat nie odebral. Po pewnym czasie
nieodebrane paczki/polecone listy wracaja do adresata.

prostu 'niepozadana przesylka' czyli adresat wypiął sie na nia.

Pamiętaj, że "call for" oznacza nie tylko "potrzebować czegoś", ale też po
prostu "wstąpić po coś, odebrać coś". Myślę, że tu chodzi właśnie o to drugie
znaczenie.
