What does it mean "every day for 30-odd years"? Every day for 30 years? Every
day but only on the odd years out of consecutive 30? Every day but only on the
odd years of consecutive 60?

It means being in access of the indicated or approximated number:
often we use it combination: eg: 'there were 400-odd people in the
      crowd.' :-)
