how to understand the expression and how to react, when sb says : "Your look
is casual". Is that in general correct? What such a person means? Should I
answer "thank you" or feel confused and say nothing?

"casual look" jest przeciwieństwem ubioru formalnego. Wygoda jest ważniejsza
niż elegancja.

He is a simpleton.
"Casual" means a lot of things these days, but "your look is casual" is not
what you would like to hear unless your boss is the military type who inspects
his troops to enforce his casual-dress directive:
"Your look is casual. You pass. Next!"

Even if you dress casually on a casual Friday, "your look is casual today"
stinks. After all, you do your best not to look casual in a casual outfit,
don't you?
