Software Engineers at Micazook are expected to research, design, implement, test and maintain software that supports business goals. Software Engineers need to demonstrate good communication skills, be able to problem solve, be self-motivated, be able to contribute to collaborative software projects and develop software individually. In order to overcome the challenges that Micazook has as a business Software Engineers should be able to quickly learn and utilise new technologies and be a source of ideas on how emerging technologies can help business.

Candidates are expected to:

Mentor and support more junior team members, providing technical leadership and advice
Work and collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to build, test and deliver robust, high quality software, by:
Participating in workshops
Gathering requirements
Refining user stories
Performing technical analysis
Prototyping (in code)
Delivering working software incrementally
Participate in team-based estimation exercises;
Help maintain and improve our code quality through peer review, unit and functional test automation and delivering according to an agreed “definition of done”;
Document their work - in code and on our development wikis;
Contribute to, author and critique software designs and architectures for technical projects.
Requirements:

3+ years of recent hands-on coding and software design experience;
At least 2 years’ professional experience of Object Oriented coding, in at least one of the following platforms (two is preferable): iOS, Android, .Net;
Code against and promote the use of SOLID principles as well as knowledge of platform-specific coding conventions and patterns;
Knowledge of the Delivery Pipeline and experience maintaining and improving a Continuous Integration system;
Proven track record delivering software using Scrum;
Unit test experience, including testing frameworks, mock objects, code coverage;
Experience with platform tools for troubleshooting, debugging and optimising your code;
