Established, publicly listed hedge fund group located in Palma de Majorca,
Spain is looking for a junior analyst experienced in Central Eastern European
equities.
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
* Performing bottom up, fundamental research and analysis of CEE companies;
* Building financial models of companies under coverage;
* Performing DCF and comparable valuation;
* Developing long and short investment ideas and recommendations;
* Attending analyst meetings and conference calls;
* Developing relationships with companies´ management;
* Developing and maintaining network of contacts across the CEE;
* Assisting portfolio manager with the management of the fund.
Required:
* Minimum two years experience in the sell side or the buy side equity
research in a Central European country;
* Good knowledge of CEE markets and selected sectors/companies;
* Analytical, quant and modelling skills and experience;
* Solid knowledge of Excel spreadsheet;
* Good command of English and at least one CEE language;
* Good writing and communications skills;
* Ability to multitask and respond quickly to changing situations;
* Ability to work long hours in an unstructured environment.
Desired:
* MBA and/or CFA Certification;
* Knowledge of German and/or the second Eastern European language;
* Familiarity with Bloomberg.
Successful candidate will be required to move to Palma de Majorca on a short
notice. Starting salary will be around 4,000 euros monthly, with annual bonus
of up to 200% of the base salary, depending on performance.
Salary and bonus could grow significantly in the future, depending on
performance. Stock options and equity participation could follow. It is a
