Finnish Discrimination Against Naive People

This is hilarious:
praca.gazeta.pl/gazetapraca/1,73680,3438917.html
A certain Polish tabloid paper has decided that it's scandalous that Finns
are reluctant to employ every single Eastern European who turns up on their
doorstep with a basic knowledge of English.
Employing people who can speak Finnish rather than people who can't speak
Finnish is blatant discrimination against Poles. Don't these Northerners
realise that the pope who brought down the Berlin Wall with a single mighty
karate chop was Polish? Or that the free market demands that every employer
in Europe employs a hundred Poles?

Yeah, well most Finns already speak Swedish, which is like a dialect of English
with hurdy gurdy sounds in it.

I'd better be careful what I say, though, or the Swedish royal family will want
to sue me like they did the owner of www.godhatessweden.com

It's more like a dialect of Danish without the vomiting sounds.
I spent a few hours in Sweden once. Weird.

Yeah. I learned Danish, but the Danes often accuse me of speaking Swedish. I
think I couldn't do the vomiting well enough - guess you have to live there for
          that.

Still, at least you get a couple of languages for the pretty much the price of
one. Four, if you include the 2 versions of Norwegian.

They may if they choose, employ only fluent Finnish speakers. but if they ever
have a shortage of workers then they'll have shot themselves in the foot! are
they a monolingual nation (i thought uk was the expert in that field) if not,
then perhaps they should be a little more flexible. for their own benefit as
            much as for anyone else's.
