I've had it! I'm tired of this cold, wind, ice & snow. I'm going to pack up &
move to Palm Springs. Buy a condo & golf every day.

Can I borrow $500,000? Anyone?

Vancouver. And we have been spoiled for the longest time when it comes to
weather.Lately, our weather has made headlines across Canada. For the record,
Vancouver is referred to as our Canadian tropical paradise. A little stretched
but the temperatures almost never used to drop below zero. Since Nov. we have
had ...storms, snow blizzards, -18, and then back to +12, sometimes all in the
same day! Last week I practiced my swing in the driving range with +13 degr. The
stalls weren't even heated. In the evening, same day... we had 10 cm of snow.
It's absolutely crazy. On the other hand, we hear those bastards in Ontario
keep enjoying a wonderfully warm weather...

Yesterday I was snorkling in magical and warm waters of Indian Ocean. I came
face to face with a sting ray( the same creature that killed Steve Irvin) but
she pissed off when she saw me. After that I was kajaking along Western
Australia's coast. Big waves but no worries.
          I made it.
And that warm sun and beautiful sea breeze in the evening.
          Fun,fun.
          Warm greetings for Van(cold)uver.Hy,hy!
          wink

The webcams at my skiing resort in Austria show lovely green slopes!
However, my bet is snow will blanket us right at the end of January.

This website shows 3 month forecasts, but is mainly UK-centred.

is anyone missing snow here? no way!!

Oh, just quit rubbing my nose in the dirt...I mean snow.
More snow and ice rain predicted for tonight. Our next door neigbor is from
Australia. I look after her weeds (I mean plants) when she is gone visiting her
old country. I asked her nicely for a "little" loan to make it to a warmer
place. She said : "Sorry, can't do. I have to gas up my SUV tonight!".

A sting ray? Are you sure you are all right, tj? You wouldn't have me anywhere
near a place that's infested with sting rays and sharks. I call it having a
            brain... smile)

Time to look for a snow blower, I guess.

Montreal is finally doing some catching-up: 20 cms of snow since Monday, -35
              today.
Oh, sweet climes of Lower Mainland BC!

                Ha..suckers!!!!

Do you watch any NHL games, Chris-Joe? Montreal looked like a bowl of lukewarm
pea soup vs. Canucks. Montreal still has a lot of players that are spending more
time on toilets with the green apple squirts than on the ice. Tough games coming
                up, Buffalo & Ottawa.

Who is ploughing your streets in Montreal? I think the snow blowers here were
all hijacked by a group of miltant farmers from India, "The Combine Jihad".

That'll be why we haven't got any winter in Poland, then. You've got it.

      It's still Autumn here (Northumbria).
What would you get for $500,000 in Palm Springs, just out of interest?

Im not sure to be honest with you. I suppose it wouldn't be more than what they
ask here. The average price for a house in Canada is around $300 grand.
Vancouver is the most expensive place with an average price tag of $500 grand
(not far behind L.A or San Francisco). I don't think a house in Palm Springs
(CA) should cost more. But I guess it all depends...see, I would look for
something special like a prestigious PGA West condo on 8th tee of Nicklaus
Tournament Golf Course. I am sure it would cost a few extra clams but wouldn't
        that be nice?

Oh well, enough of that bologne. A pound of oranges is gonna quadruple after the
long freeze in California. In fact, Arnie is asking for disaster relief from the
feds. Oranges for three bucks a pound? I'd better find me another job.

      US or Canadian?

I don't mind borrowing, but how will I get it back?
