midgeure Native speaker only 22.02.04, 14:40 First of all, I live in Zielonka. And I just want to improve my spoken and written English - that's all I want. I think I need a good and very patient teacher - native speaker only, because I want to learn a British accent. I like it very much! Nothing all, really! Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś

midgeure Funny or not, I like it 22.02.04, 19:35 I am NOT going to learn English on the Internet. I am thinking about lessons face to face. I also think that it is a stupid idea looking for a teacher/native speaker over the Internet. I like British accent, because I am interested in British Islands' history, culture and life. I am native Polish yet my accent seems British enough to make Brits ask what part of UK I'm from.. well, we could call it a gift or a fluke, whichever.. One thing I am positive about is that you would benefit a lot from our conversations. I've been teaching English for 9 years now, lived in the UK for over 3. Well, anyway, consider my person, cheers Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś
kociamama Re: Native speaker only 23.02.04, 15:02 No native speaker can do the job for you. Of course they can help you produce the right sounds, but only if they are qualified teachers or are especially gifted in the area of teaching phonetics. Brits can tell you that you're doing something wrong, but can't specify what you could improve, as their speech organs function in a different way. The truth is that if you haven't picked up the right accent watching TV or listening to the radio/songs, then nothing will help you. If it's hard to believe think about people who have been living abroad for years, have daily contact with native speakers, speak entirely English, and still can't get rid of the POlish accent... Anyway, good luck, you'd better do the work yoyurself. Later, Kociamama. Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś
