I found it in a Dictionary of Descriptive Terminology for bookbinding and the conservation of books. [Not bad, huh?] "Setting out" is a process of smoothing, stretching and removing excess water from newly tanned skins". Also called "putting out." So either there's a mistake in that ad or they're really looking for such a person :) Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś
amused.to.death Re: setting out person required for contract 14.06.04, 13:12 I've got two guesses... 1) set out on a career = start a career, so maybe it's a career-oriented person 2) set out also means planning (something like designing) so maybe it's a person who'll be responsible for same kind of planning... I've also looked at it that way but have NOT come across such an expression in the context you suggest. "A career-oriented person" - by all means! Dn_A, where have you found it? Is it a Polish company that has issued this advert? If an American or British person read such an job advert what would they make out of it? ;) As you can see the term does exist but - most probably - in a different context. Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś
