a teacher looking for students

24.08.04, 18:04
I'm looking for ambitous, well-educated students who are determined, goal
oriented and quick to learn. An interesting personality will be an advantage,
some life passion, and/or reputable jobs are preferred.

I look forward to receiving a resume and a letter of application in English.

Regards,
Kociamama.

Obviously I'm gonna enjoy the teaching process deriving pleasure from
contacting higly intellectual individulas, and exploit them financially;)

        Regards,
        Kociamama.

      good ad!

ambitious = will learn by themselves
well-educated = will not need much to learn and will find amazing results
determined = will keep coming despite high rates
goal-orientated = will accept the goal you choose them and pursue it, being
      ambitious and determined
interesting personality and life passion = you will listen to them talk about
their passions and stuff, enjoy yourself and ... here's the bill ;-)
      reputable jobs = well-paid

      no oryginalne :)
      Pozdrawiam

As you see, not everybody can write an ad like this, as I was the only one to
        dare;)

As for the qualifications... it's me who implements the recruitment, not the
other way round, so I don't feel obliged to enclose any diplomas;)

        Regards,
        KOciamama.

"Discussions, debates and conversations - all topics of conversations are
welcome as long as they are in English". Aren't you familiar with it? Translate
what you've said and don't stop us from enjoing pretty nice English
          conversation.
          A.

            very original,
Dear Kociama. I guess you don't have any education in English AFAIR so you can
learn children from primary school at best ;)
If I'm wrong, please correct me substantiating it with MA degree at the
            Cambridge Uni. etc.
Otherwise... Everybody can write such a ad ;P
            With warmest regards,
            jealous tutor

You're sooooo very wrong referring to the issue of teaching elementary school
              children.
Contrary to a common fallacy that virtually anybody is adequate for teaching
beginners, young learners should be provided with highly professional, skilled
              teachers who genuinely like children.

The practise unfortuantely differs significantly from these ideals, and the
results are poor. Children develop bad habits if taught by an incompetent
person, and/or get discouraged from the language at all.

              Regards,
              Kociamama.

      O.k., let's be a little serious - I have such a student for you, Kocia.He
intends to take CAE next year, but he's...broke! So, if your present students
represent sufficient level, take him and form a nice group of whizzes. The only
problem is that you must be from Wawa /like almost everybody here/ and we live
in Słupsk. Maybe some distant learning?
      Love, A.
      • kociamama Re: a teacher looking for students 26.08.04, 10:27
I'm not from Wawa, (wrong assumption), but I'm not from Slupsk either. Tricity
is the area where I prowl.

As for the broke student, I can alwyas talk to him on gadu (In English,
obviously), and that's probably all I can offer, as I don't dabble in e-
        learning.

        Regards,
        KOciamama.

            Dear Glajda,

please don't flatter me, even tho it feels so good;) However, calling it
brilliantly is a bit of exaggeration.

I was taught to speak english fluently in high-school, and did my CPE then. The
language competnece which I aquired was entirely the merit of our teacher, who
is my guru right now. As she managed, by motivating or even forcing us to do
hard, systemetic work, to make us achieve a satisfactory level of ENglish,
which means: being able to communicate, take part in discussions in English,
express ourselves in writing using an appropriate register, read books and
press without excessive trouble, understand the spoken language.

Anyway, it doesn't mean that I ceased to continue education in the area of
            teaching and learning English.

            Regards,
            Kociamama.
