hi! i guess my dictionary is not vast enough to embrace this legal term. does
anyone know for sure what "image rights contract" means? i have my
suppositions - "umowa o prawa do wizerunku" but i couldn't confirm it
anywhere (meanig the net).
another one - compromising clause. i found sth like "klauzula kompromisarska"
but it seems to be sth else. could anyone help me and also recommend a good
legal dictionary, eng-pl and pl-eng? i'll be very grateful

      compromising clause - klauzula ugodowa
as per Slownik terminologii prawniczej i ekonomicznej, Janina Jaslan & Henryk
Jaslan, Wiedza Powszechna, Warszawa 1991 ISBN 83-214-0533-9
Generally, this dictionary is OK though somewhat lacking on terminology alien
to Poland at the time of publication.

hopik, what is behind the 'image' in this particular case? Famous person, an
object, a logo, a slogan? Might just help to find a sensible equivalent.
Can't believe that 'image' has not been adopted yet into the Polish language,
lock, stock and barrell, see:(public relation, dealer, mail and probably many
more that I'm not aware of)

image rights meaning the right to use (publish, copy etc.) someone's image and
personal deatails for promotional and marketing purposes. Actually I have no
doubts about the word 'wizerunek' but the whole phrase is nowhere to be found.
I guess there is a standard legal term for such an agreement. if i don't find
anything else i'll stick to umowa o prawa do wizerunku, but i'd love to know
for sure. thanx steph for you interest, i really appreciate your helping me.
