how to learn polish

hey everyone...
my name is karolina i live in the netherlands, i was born in poland
before i moved to the netherlands i could speak perfectly polish...
now i can speak a little bit but not enough....
i really want to learn how to speak and write again but i just dont know
how...we dont have books i can read in polish of anything like that....

can anyone give me some suggestions?? i really want to learn it again

i already have a boyfriend...i dont think he would appreciate that ;)
my mom speaks polish but she wont speak it at home....
she has to learn how to speak dutch fluent.....

and when i go on holidays to poland i am so embarrassed my grandmother lives
there and i cant even have a normal conversation with here....

Get yourself a book and some tapes and try to follow the lesson plan but do not
overdo. Also listen a lot of polish radio, watch tv etc. You need to get
aquiented with the sound of polish language. If you listen long enough you will
be able to repeat the sounds witout understanding but that is the first steps to
be a speaker. You can really exploit the Internet to learn polish.

im going to ask my grandmother to send me some magazines...that way i can read
it and translate it with a dictionary to dutch...my mom can see if ive done it
right or not.

polish radio stations etc are very hard to recieve in holandia...only reading
etc will do i think.
my mom is also planning to speak more polish to me :) so i hope i will be able
to speak polish soon :):)

learning polish online is different then learning it in poland if you know what
i mean...but ill give it a try it can never hurt though ;)

some with a speach option.

well english is a lot easier than polish....
a lot of ducth people say that dutch is the hardest language to learn.....well
they better think again, i can read, speak and understand polish a little bit,
i understand almost everything...and a was born there but even i have a very
hard time to learn it fluently again....

i have just done some "test your polish" tests...
at translating i had a perfect score....it were 5 questions but still....
at another test this one had 25 questions i had 5 mistakes....pretty good i
think :)

hehe i almost started writing in dutch a minute ago.....:P
i understand some things, some words etc...when im in poland and someone is
talking to me i can understand about 90% of it....same as watching tv and
reading books etc (than i understand about 75%)

so some of the words on this site i understand....like Forum, edukacja...

i just did my very best to understand the most of it...

and finding this site was very easy: www.google.nl typing Poland...and TaDa:P

I think that You could listen to radio by internet. F/e RMF (www.rmf.fm) or
Radio PiN (www.radiopin.pl) :)
