English only?

19.04.06, 19:32
How come this forum is called English only when 90% of the posts are in
Polish :-) ? I suggest a renaming to 'About English' or more moderation in
line with the Gazeta.pl title.

      you suggest a what?
English Only is okay. It means you can ask in Polish about English only, not
      Chinese although you can try.

► People need to ask questions in Polish, since they already know (?) this
language and can be clear enough to describe the problem.
This type of inquiry in English probably will not produce desirable results,
just see all the mess all over the place.
It will be sufficient in simple situations: at the supermarket in the US or
elsewhere, where locals are used to foreigners trying to make it.
“Renaming to 'About English'” removes the crucial element of pressure.
“English only” means “only”…if you can…

      Another thing:
This forum needs more folks, who have genuine command of English, not just “I
      know alls” and imposters.
How many native speakers and well seasoned expats on serious level would like
      to write here?
      That is the question…

Yo' Waldek, you don't feel up to writing in English only?
        or are YOU an impostOR:)?
To ph-whatever: ...and what is YOUR problem, hmmm?
Any "English only" contributions from you?
        One is too few.

and what's wrong with about English? Przynajmniej kazdy stara sie, aby
poprawniej pisac, a na anglo-dyrdymaly, mozna gdzie indziej...

I fully agree. Unfortunately, there do appear to be a lot of people
giving 'advice' here who actually know very little English ...

English only should mean exactly that.

I suggest a new moderator might be needed!

        Until then I'll post elsewhere.

"English Only" because it is only about English.

I would suggest to someone to rather go for a walk and enjoy the spring, not to
        mention to start reading carefully

yeah, SOME people should really know how to take a hint: start writing more
precisely, so others don't have to GUESS at the meaning...

ooops, that was supposed to be singular!
