_helga Chaos, Order and Arrow of Time? 04.02.03, 04:39 Roughly speaking, the discovery of chaos seems to imply that randomness lurks at the core of any deterministic model of the universe. Because of this fact, some scientists have begun to question whether or not it is meaningful at all to say that the universe is deterministic in its behavior. One of the most interesting issues in the study of chaotic systems is whether or not the presence of chaos may actually produce ordered structures and patterns on a larger scale. Some scientists have speculated that the presence of chaos---that is, randomness operating through the deterministic laws of physics on a microscopic level---may actually be necessary for larger scale physical patterns to arise. Some have come to believe that the presence of chaos in physics is what gives the universe its "arrow of time," the irreversible flow from the past to the future. HIhih. And here you've got a visualisation of a - surprise:) An Unexpected, that DOES NOT come out smoothly out of the previous state. That's what you can place exactly in between The Constant (chaos) and The Change (Order). It's called a bifurcation. www.esam.northwestern.edu/research/about_bifrucation.html HIhih. Still alive? Quite right about questioning being meaningful... > HIhih. Still alive?< More than ever! www.hkbu.edu.hk/~ppp/srp/arts/QCKQ.htm Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś
