Przeglądając wczoraj forum na jednym z brytyjskich portali natrafiłem na obce mi słówko 'tho'. jakoś ochoczo ludzie lubią je wtrącać w jak największą ilość zdań.

ktoś może wie co ono znaczy?

= chociaz

Jest to również forma poetycka, np. u Tennysona:

Tho' power should make from land to land

Tak - tylko ze w tym wypadku, pochodzi to od:
Thou -> Tho'
i znaczy "Ty" po poetycku (jak wspomniales)

Moja pomylka - rzeczywiscie w tym tekscie bedzie to znaczylo:
Thou... = chociaz

No to widze, ze musze wtracic swoje dwa grosze.
Jak na poczatku przyjechalem do Kanady, zaczalem slyszec to slowo "tho"
ktore naprawde pisze sie "though', ale to nie jest istotne.
No i pytam sie gosci (robilem wtedy na stacji benzynowej), co to znaczy?
To nic nie znaczy, najbardziej na polski bym powiedzial: nie, albo no nie, jak kolwiek.
I tak tez na poczatku zaczalem mowic : blah, blah, blah, though...
bo chcialem byc cool Canadian.
np. Someone would make a statment like: I dont like this group, and I would say , I like them though...
cholera, akurat w tym przykladzie wykozystanie "tough" nie bylo takie zle, ale chodzi o to, ze though jest uzywane na koncu zdania ( w mowie potocznej, tam gdzie nie czeba juz nic dodac), to jes takie polskie: no nie, prawda, etc

No i brawo!
To tho czy thou/though widziałem setki razy na końcu zdania rónież w gazetach i
za cholerę mi to nie pasowało. A "chociaż" to już całkiem tam nie pasuje..
