I HAVE A POLISH PASSPORT, WIFE ETC. I'M BRITISH. I DON'T LIVE IN A BIG POLISH
CITY, BUT NEAR LUBIN. IS IT WORTH SETTING UP "DZIALALNOSC GOSPODARCZY"? OR
WILL THIS JUST RESULT IN BILLS, BILLS, BILLS ETC!

Hello again.

Well, if you have a Polish passport you are steps ahead of me. The
formalities of starting the business were one of the most difficult parts, but
I had help. The next difficult part was paying ZUS esp. when I had no income.
After that I had to get clients. To avoid renting office space immediately, I
tried to find clients who could have their lessons at work. That meant
official offers, trial lessons, business suits, no money coming in.

Or you could go another way and hire space immediately. That would allow you
to give lessons to groups of people, esp. those interested in exam
preparation. Another possibility is to associate yourself with an established
school as a subcontractor. In addition to your own clients, you could also
take lessons from an established school. These lessons could be for you or
later for your employees (who are also self-employed).

If you haven't got the dough to set up your business right now, then I would
suggest getting hired in a school to get a feel for the business.

How did you manage a Polish passport? I've been living here for over 9 years
(also married to a Polish citizen) and I don't even have my permanent
residence card yet.

well, my grandad's polish-that's why. but a passport doesn't help anyway. their
system is so bureaucratic and fucked up after 40 plus years of russian
influence.
