Dear Polish people

Sorry I am writing in English, but my Polish isn't good enough. Nevertheless I
am able to read and understand Polish.

I was unaware that Polish people go through such sufferings while in the US.
It seems nothing here is good enough for you.

To tell you the truth I feel quite offended by your negative statements about
my beautiful home country.

Also, I am very surprised you are still staying in the US instead of leaving it
as soon as possible for Poland.

Hate? I would say Poland as the only European country licks America's ass as
much as possible! Surprisingly USA doesn's show any signs of sympathy towards
Poland. We are being discriminated while entering your country despite the so
called American-Polish friendship. I wanted to go for holidays to NY in
September but arrogant officer in USA embassy refused me a visa because I had
no strong links with the country in which i currently live. A few days later
friendly Arabs organised in NY the biggest fireworks the world has seen. If we
had to pay you back as a nation for each time USA fucked us, burning down
Manhattan wouldn't be enough!

I don't understand anything. How can you say Poles hate America. They really
like your country - don't worry. The only problem is the difrence in mentality -
don't forget we used to live in comunism, which means we felt fear, we were
petrified. We didn't know what we were allowed to do, or what might cause big
trouble. And that's why they don't know now how to show sympathy and other good
feelings.

Polacy zawsze potrafia tylko krytykowac innych. Stephen ma racje jak sie Wam
tak nie podoba ameryka to wracajcie do Polski, po co tu siedzicie. Krytykujcie
siedzac w kraju i nie popijajcie zadnych amerykanskich napoji i nie noscie
dzinsow ani nie ogladajcie zadnych amerykanskich filmow.
Ja kocham ameryke bo jest to kraj dla kazdego, nie to co Polska.

Jedna drobna uwaga - wlasnie pare dni temu moja dziewczyna dostala wize do US - wszystko
listownie, bez zadnej wizyty w ambasadzie - po prostu wyslala paszport i rozne papierki po
czym po 3-4 dniach paszport byl z powrotem, z wiza.
Tak wiec nie zawsze jest chyba tak zle?
Ja tam sie zreszta do US nie pcham. A juz napewno nie do pracy... Brrr....

wakacje do New Yorku i powiedzieli mi zebym zapomnial (mimo ze mam firme w UK
etc). Pewnie daloby sie to zalatwic przy pomocy prawnika, no ale przecierz nie
bede zatrudniac prawnika zeby pojechac na wakacje! Pojechalem za to do Szkocji
i dobrze sie bawilem. Wnerwiaja mnie w kazdym razie teksty Gullianiego o

Wspolczuje. Przypomina mi sie historia jak kiedys bedac biednym studentem chcialem
pozyczyc samochod w Belgii. Wszystko bylo super do momentu jak wyciagnalem polskie
prawo jazdy... To byla tania wypozyczalnia (na inna mnie nie bylo stac) i facet po prostu
powiedzial NIE. I nawet nie chodzilo o to, ze nie chcial. Pokazal mi dokument, ze jak wypozyczy
samochod Polakowi, Marokanczykowi, Rosjaninowi (tak to sie naprawde pisze????), itp, itd to
mu go jego ubezpieczalnia nie ubezpieczy.
W takiej sytuacji wscieklosc polaczona z bezsilnoscia potrafi niezle zabolec.

A co do wizy do US: pewnie trzeba ich od razu zasypac mnostwem papierkow: wyciagi z
banku, mortgage, praca, karty kredytowe, studia, itp, itd. Moze wtedy jest latwiej?

Przyklady dyskryminacji mozna mnozyc oczywiscie. Jesli chodzi o wize do USA, to
niestety nie mam stalej pracy (jestem self-employed)a i domu jeszcze sie nie
dorobilem. Wkurzyla mnie za to arogancja kobiety z ambasady, ktora powinna byc
mila chocbu dlatego, ze place 50p czy funta za minute!

To nie takie latwe. Ja przyjechalem do Niemiec prawie dwadziescia lat temu
jako dzieciak. I naprawde durzo mnie kosztowalo by panowac polskim jak dzis.
Wygodniej mi pisac po niemiecku,wiec go rozumiem.

To me, Stephen does not sound very American. Although his grammar is better
than von Kleist's, he sounds too upset to be American. Americans do not get
upset over Poles. They usually don't give a rat's ass about Poles and their

too "artificial" but that's besides the point.
Anyway to cut the long story short, Poles do have a tendency to complain about
anything and everything - it's in their nature but to say that they hate the US
or Americans. That's a bit OTT. I think you got the wrong end of the stick
here. It appears to me taht what they are trying to point out is that the US
is not as perfect as they were led to believe whilst living in Poland. If they
hated the US or Americans as much as you imply they would not waste their time
by being there. Yet they work their butts off when in US to sustain themselves
and the US economy. Anyway, we all (be it Italians, Poles, Germans, Brits) make
comments about other countries and nationalities and there's no harm in it.
It's perfectly normal! We are human after all.

Mags can be short for Margaret but she tends to be shortened to Maggie. I
suppose people could not think of anything else to call me so Mags stuck even
though I have nothing to do with Margaret. It started with Mag, then someone
added an s and the rest is history. Confused, so am I?

F.Y.I American citizens (thanks to L. Walesa) may come to Poland without visas.
Polish citizens have to go through a rather unpleasant process of applying and
paying (sic!) for visas to the U.S. Now, one has the right to complain if the
product one has purchased ( i.e. vist to the U.S.) is not entirely to one's
satisfaction wouldn't you say dear chappie?

So, shut your gob, stay put in your midwest-redneck-thicko-dabya land and wave
the flag. Remember this - Poland has done much more for America than America
has yet done for Poland.
