Waiting Out Erika Steinbach

17.02.09, 15:14
Steinbah or not Steinbah – who cares and where is the difference? If
somebody in Germany will make an exposition of old foots then will
do – its not forbidden. And who visits old museums with old photos
anyway? Is that really the most important problem between Germany
and Poland? Probably.

I can see only such “important” problems: Baltic pipeline from
Russia to western Europe or too big hats of Rokitas in Lufthansa-
Airplanes. Very interesting. If a Canadian policeman killed a Pole
in the Toronto-Airport (of course not deliberately) was that a
visible sign of polish-Canadian love. If something like that would
happen in Munich (can happen everywhere) would that be a visible
sign of polish-German hatred? I presume.

But now in polish cinemas everybody can see a movie about “good
Germans during the WWII” like “born on the 4th July” American Tom
Cruise was as Staufenberg. And who is responsible for
that “historical manipulation” (some polish media say). Hollywood
United Artist Company? No, only German government. The fact is that
the German government said to Americans: is forbidden to make this
movie in Berlin.

Anyway, the same story can see and hear each tourist in original
bunker-places in Poland, but for every problem in Poland we must
have somebody who is responsible. Now the Germans are.
