Interestingly, now the same people which were “heroes”, faiting with
American Stinger-rockets against Soviet Union, are just “bandits”.
Maybe.
That’s often the question of terminology. Arafat was a “bandit” and
some time later he was the Nobel Prize winner. If Spain says no to
the independence of Basks we (the West) say that’s ok and if China
says the same to the Tibetans we are saying, “that’s not ok”. We
will independence for Chechnya and Kosovo but not for Abkhazia and
Osjetja.
And what about Afghanistan? I would say: we (the West) should just
go home and leave these people there in peace. They must solve alone
the own problems because they don’t need our values, our democracy;
they have own values and own feudal system. There were similar try’s
to make pressure in Iran in 1970-tees for acceptation there our
western civilisation. Result: revolution 1979 and religious Iranian
state.
And the last thing: all right, if Americans will die for Kabul
that’s not my business, I am saying: the place for polish soldier is
in Poland and not abroad, protecting American interests.
