The Dolomites are hosting the Olympic flame
On 25th January 2006 the Olympic flame will be in the Dolomites on its way to
the Olympic Winter Games in Turin 2006. Young athletes of the ski clubs of
the four valleys Val di Fassa, Arabba/Marmolada, Alta Badia and Val Gardena
will carry the flame from Canazei following the ski slopes of the Sella Ronda
to Ortisei/Val Gardena. There the arrival will be celebrated at 5 pm in the
village square. The next morning 26th January 2006 the athletes will take the
flame to Cortina d'Ampezzo. There the celebrations for the 50th anniversary
of the Olympic Winter Games "Cortina 1956" will take place.
