Red Sea to help Dead Sea

The Israeli government is considering a proposal to pipe water from the Red Sea
to the Dead Sea, which is fast evaporating. The dropping level of the Dead Sea,
put at more than a yard per year, has caused vast environmental and economic
damage in the region. The water pipeline project would cost an estimated $1
billion, the Israeli daily Ma´ariv reported
