Explosion in Israel

Reports are coming in of a bomb explosion in southern Tel Aviv in Israel.
Police say the explosion has caused some casualties.

A spokesman for Tel Aviv police said the blast was apparently caused by a car
bomb.

The Ha'aretz Daily website reported a bomber had detonated a booby-trapped car
after security guards at a night club started to shoot at him.

Initial reports say the guards became suspicious of the man when he tried to
gain entrance to the Studio 49 nightclub and opened fire.

An eyewitness said that nobody other than the bomber was injured.
