Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and
President Bush held talks at the White
House which revealed apparent differences
between the two sides.

With Sharon sitting beside him, Bush told
reporters Israelis and Palestinians had
made progress in recent days, and were
closer to peace than they had been.

But the Israeli leader was adamant in
refusing to take the next step in the U.S.
peace blueprint
