(yeah, writing is a crime)
Just don't think much about this sentence but tell me please which form is
correct.

Singular.
The problem is the controversial punctuation. Commas are a lousy choice to set
off this parenthetical remark.
In general, parenthetical inclusions should not affect grammatical agreement.
