Mother!
I am created from you,
from your soul I was
born,
As I grow I forget
about you,
living,enjoying what
rightfully belongs to
you,
You keep giving me
nurture,thru your
wonderful ways,
even that I never
said thanks,
Every day you laid
a carpet of flowers
at my view,
and your little ones
to play with me,
Day after day even with
the pain of blood shed
on your merciful face,
you never stop to give
us our daily bread,
Thank you Mother Earth,
for your support,and
unconditional love,
I will just try to
better to understand
the lessons you are
giving in our life,
Thank you mother,
and one day in your
loving arms I will
come to rest.
Thank you MOTHER EARTH!

We are Them
By Melissa St. John

I look in the mirror and what do I see?
I see the face of the animals looking
back at me
Two eyes......
One nose......
One mouth.....
We have a heart and so do they
please dont take that away.
We are are all the same...
We eat...
We breath...
We see....
We smell...
We feel...
We are all animals...
We are the same!
November Winds
By Tom Morley
November winds blow across the land.
Men in orange,guns in hand.
Death begins as the sun arises.
Deer strapped to hoods are their prizes.
As the day ends they gather for beers,
to toast the tradition of slaughter over the years.
They brag and boast of the account of the kill,
They say it's the hunt that is the thrill.
To prove his manhood it must be done.
The tradition of death passed from father to son.
I wish that they could only see,
the tradition of LIFE that was passed to me.
At the end of the month they will leave the land.
Drive back to the city in their caravans.
And I will lookout on empty fields of snow.
And dread the time when November winds blow.
