please step back a little, calm down (write fewer posts. many fewer posts.
concentrate on quality, not quantity), and lay off the lathering gobs of
priggish moralizing and personal attacks.
these two (chickenshorts and wacko jacko) have been ripping into each other for
years on this forum.
they obviously have fun doing it.
step into a discussion by all means. perhaps you could find more to contribute
than complaints and whines about peaple whom you disapprove of.

I'm glad that you write on this forum, but...
this battle to change people's attitudes leads to endless wrangling...waste of
cyber space. if two old debaters reproach each other for some departure of
form, that is one thing. if a new person steps into the discussion, and takes
upon him/herself the task of reforming one or both of the parties...well, that
person deserves a short sharp kick in his online dentures.
"forum posturing", as chickenshorts describes it, is an online form. if you are
of a delicate disposition being called a fucking asshole in the midst of a
debate about mushroom picking can be devastating. if this happened in a bar the
consequences would be very different than on "English Only".
there is a difference between probing another poster with some exotic verbal
abuse and that of niggling them with personal invective or trail of reproach,
which leads to killing the discussion. look how many interesting threads trail
of into "yes you did - no I didn't".
I wouldn't be writing this to you if I didn't think you weren't an interesting
contributor of opinions (even though they're worth shit).
its the message, not the messenger, stupid!

I regret that in general I don't have so much time to read them all and make
content-related discussion... That's why I'm often silent in your topics...
