im translating a letter into e. and there is a sentence in p. which
sounds; "dom kombatanta ma słuzyc wszystkim kombatantom i ludziom starszym
jako miejsce spotkan i zjazdow, centrum zycia kulturalnego i wypoczynkowego,
ma byc wizytowka wszystkich kombatantow w kraju i zagranica."
the problem part is "wizytowka". here's what i came up with, please tell me
if you have any suggestions how to polish this up, or maybe it's just fine?
"The Veterans’ House is meant to serve all the Veterans and the Elderly as a
meeting and reunion place, center of cultural life and recreation; it is
meant to be a showcase of all the Veterans in Poland and abroad."

I think another option is to write: ...meant to represent... The best advice
however is to ask the authors of the Polish text what they meant by it. You
shouldn't translate Polish version word for word. I can't tell if your usage
of "showcase" is correct but have a look at some samples of using this
expression:

As you can see, this page is bare-bones simple; it is meant to be a showcase
for Braford's art, and not much more than that.

Hinge is meant to be a showcase of talent by Christian writers of all ages.

Our Yardbird Reader is meant to be a showcase of innovative writing, art and
multimedia, as well as a sampler of our own projects.

SAE is meant to be a showcase for supplier technology, to be seen by automotive
engineers.
