nick, name, coincidence

11.08.04, 16:53
How to choose a proper nick and not to offend anyone?
How have you chosen your nicks?
What about repeating of them on one forum?

Me?
Creating my nick I originally thought about ines (it’s not my real name) but
it was not available. I did not want to be ines777777 (for example) so, I
have chosen ineess. It was free but what about inees or iness, do they exist
or not yet?
My grandmother calls me just Jacek sometimes but it’s her small provocation…
and it is not available for sure.

My special regards to i.nes (who is logged in) and i.nes (guest) :-)

when I was choosing my nickname, all the reasonable nicknames were already someone's so I just looked through my CDs and picked up a song which had a good title and which I liked.

        It was nice idea ;-)
I'm going to look for Amused to death

As my nick suggests, I'm an Irish freak.

Have you ever actually been to Ireland? If so, please, share.

I'm Nobullshit cause all the nice nicks I could think of weren't available.
So at the umpeenth try I thought: Bullshit!!!

And now I get it all the time "what kind of a nick is that?"
      :)

but you're a 'lady' right? Anytime I notice your nickname I think of you as a man.

Obviously not a "lady" as I'm using such words :)
But definitely a woman. Maybe I should have called myself Ms. Nobullshit.

BTW, amused.to.death isn't terribly feminine either :) But now I know

nope, it's not. But it fairly well describes the way I feel...sometimes.

The second part of my nick "ili" comes from my real first name and depending on
my mood I add different prefixes to it. When I was opening the account at
      gazeta.pl obviously I was in a good mood. ;)))

May we ask for some details, please?

Good. Thank you. I was JUST happy. :)))

Quite a difference, isn't it? :) Jacek vs. Ineess. Did your grandma desperately
wanted you to be a boy? :)

      > My special regards to i.nes (who is logged in) and i.nes (guest) :-)

Thank you! :) Note however that I don't take any responsibility for any
messages that have been posted by i.nes-guest TODAY. Somebody wants to piss me
      off :( Hell with 'em.

Anyway, my nick is a Spanish equivalent of my Polish name. When I was a student
one of my newly met friends told me I looked like a Spanish girl and, as a
joke, he translated my name. I liked it and all my friends picked it up really
fast :) When registering at Gazeta.pl I wanted to be Ines but unfortunately I
couldn't. I came up with this dot in the middle so the pronunciation stays the
      same :)

Not because she wanted me to be a boy but because I look like one ;-)
I think rather that it's her invention, her acceptance and it's funny.
