axxolotl Re: How did you learn of this position? 07.01.05, 15:39 If you read the first post again, it doesn't say it's a job application, only a job questionnaire. Like you said, that's illegal to ask...(well, not in Poland, or so I've heard). But, when you get a real, permanent full-time job (and I don't mean one of those students' jobs), you do have to fill out a form where there is a question about your marital status and dependents. The form is given to you by the Human Resources department of the company you're working for and it goes back to the Human Resources. Based on your answers, HR calculates how much tax to withhold from your paycheck. So while on the job application/job interview it is illegal to ask for your marital status/religion/children/present and future pregnancies/sexual orientation and everything else that makes this beautiful country so f...ing conservative and bloody politically-correct, the HR people can and will ask you (for your marital status and dependents). Mind you, you don't have to answer, but then your taxes are all screwed up and you may end up paying more than you need to and even though you get a refund later, we all know it's not a real refund (EVER!) because the money was yours to begin with. You just gave it to the government for a while so they can earn interest on it. And they do. Lots. And the government loves you for it, too :) Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś
