mam jezyk angielski dosc na wysokim poziomie,ale czasami gubie sie w
przedimkach,tzn mam problemy z ich uzyciem,czasami uzylabym zupelnie

hej :-)) nie jesteś ani troche ograniczona.nawet tak nie myśl!!!kiedy jeszcze
mialam gramatyke( studiuję anglistyke ale grama kończy sie po 2 latach)
strasznie nas z tego cisnęli.Pociesz sie ze jest to naprawde jedno z
trudniejszych zagadnień gramatycznych dla nas Polaków. :-( Wynika to z tego że
w naszym języku po prostu nie ma "artikli" :-) Co innego dla np.Hiszpanów czy
Wlochów,którzy "the articles" mają we własnym języku...Kiedyś tak sie zlożylo,
że mialam przyjemnosc uczyc wloskie dziecko angielskiego.12-latek nie mial
najmniejszych problemów!! W mig obczajal gdzie ma być "the" a gdzie "a"...
Aha i jeszcze jedno...Jedyną metodą na oswojenie "the articles" jest robienie
jak najwiekszej ilosci cwiczen!ćwicz ćwicz i jeszcze raz ćwicz.Same reguły nie
na wiele sie zdadzą...Tylko praktyka :-) Polecam Ci ćwiczenia Thomson'a $

W tym konkretnym przypadku chodzi o 'short story' jako GATUNEK.

work out idioms and collocations. Mistakes in articles will be the very last to
go".

"there's no such thing" or "there's no such a thing"?
If you ask google, the votes will be about 420.000 to 500.
This does not always work! But sometimes can be useful.

Guess what? I got 26 000 hits with "no such a thing" - not an overwhelming
amount, but there were some interesting 'sources' among them:
